ACTION: The Record Store - Morning/Afternoon - Open

[All things considered, Yosuke is enjoying his new job at the record store, familiarizing himself with the music and keeping the records spinning. If you're in the market for some music, come on in and shop!]

ACTION: John Doe Park - Evening - Open

[Yosuke is sitting on a park bench, headphones on as he looks at the ground, despondant. He'd been wondering why he hadn't heard from Chie lately and wanted to make sure she was going to his (late) Birthday Party, so he'd gone after work in search of her.

He hadn't been prepared to see his friend all dressed up and flirting with the drone boys. No training, no kung fu, no arguing - done through and through.

He's not sure how to cope with that. He doesn't even know how long she's been this way. So he's simply sitting there, drowning his sorrows in the music and trying to cope with everything.]

[Ruri stops and sits down on the bench peering at Yosuke]

"...Yosuke?"

[He can't hear her, but it's easy enough to notice someone sitting next to him. He glances over and forces a smile, slipping his headphones off]

Hey Ruri, sorry I didn't hear you there. What's up?

"Nothing. You just looked miserable."

Miserable? No, I-I'm fine! Just a long day at work, you know?

[It was getting late, so Minato had decided to head back to the house. However, he happens to spot someone wearing headphones. Pinged at the chance of listening to new music, he shuts off his pocket radio and walks toward the park bench and finds it's--Yosuke?

And it doesn't look like a happy Yosuke either.]

[It's the exact opposite of a happy Yosuke - it's a Yosuke so absorbed in his own misery that he doesn't even notice Minato approaching until he's standing right there. Sheepishly, he slips off the headphones and forces a smile]

Hey Minato. How's it going?

[doudemoe]

It's cool. I see you got back something.

[Even if now Minato is more interested in Yosuke's mood than the music.]

I see you got the job! ♪

[Rin holds out a candy bar for him. She was bored so she decided to bring snacks over. Yup.]

Yeah! Lucky us, huh little sis?

[Hell yes candy! He takes it with a big grin]

And you were right about the discount. We'll be rolling in music before we know it.

[ehehe he called her little sis. She thinks maybe she'll call him Yosuke-nii sometime. :3c]

Super lucky! ♪ We're ahead of the game!

[Rise wasn't expecting to see Yosuke here, and she definitely wasn't expecting to see him so upset. Concerned, she makes her way over to him. She leans down a little, trying to get a look at his face before tapping him lightly on the shoulder.]

Yosuke-senpai...?

[He snaps from his melancholy for a moment, looking up at Rise with an odd expression on his face. He wants to be happy to see her but damn if she hasn't caught him at an odd time. After a second, he wonders if she even knows what's happened]

Rise-chan... hey, sorry I didn't see you there.

[She frowns slightly at his condition. Yep, definitely worried now.]

What's wrong? You seem really down.

[ Walking through the park for whatever reason, Lamia notices the upset boy and stops in her tracks. ]

Is there anything wrong?

[Hello, cute robot girl he's never met before. Any normal day, Yosuke might switch on his... unique brand of charming.

If only today were normal.

He looks up and (badly) fakes a smile]

Just kind of a rough day, you know? Even for this place.

[ Oh man, he knows Yosuke enough that just from his body language something was up. He crashes the park bench next to him rather gracefully, arm on his shoulder. ]

[And there he is, one of the handful of people who can comfort Yosuke with just that.

Only for Partner will he let his guard down so easy]

[ Next to Yosuke, someone had taken a seat on the bench. She figured he looked a little sulky, but ohh, what was that on his head?

So, Yosuke! Have a poke-poke-poke on a shoulder. ]

[He looks up, face going from melancholy to somewhat bewildered. The last thing he expected was a cute girl poking him on the shoulder. At least he's too out of it to pretend he thinks he's charming. He slips off his headphones for her at least.]

Hey... did you need something? Am I in your spot? I can move if you want.

No, that's not it. [ Though that does make her smile. She points to his headphones. ] You looked spaced out. Was it because of those?

[Don't mind Minako looking around for some decent music. She been here for about a month and there's only so much 50 music she can stand. Where's the modern music that she misses? ;A;]

Too late? I don't know the meaning!

[That modern music is over here, around Yosuke's ears. He's got the volume cranked up pretty high, and if Minako is listening, she can hear the distinct sounds of heavy drums and guitar leaking out and into the air]
