ACTION: The Record Store - Morning/Afternoon - Open

[All things considered, Yosuke is enjoying his new job at the record store, familiarizing himself with the music and keeping the records spinning. If you're in the market for some music, come on in and shop!]

ACTION: John Doe Park - Evening - Open

[Yosuke is sitting on a park bench, headphones on as he looks at the ground, despondant. He'd been wondering why he hadn't heard from Chie lately and wanted to make sure she was going to his (late) Birthday Party, so he'd gone after work in search of her.

He hadn't been prepared to see his friend all dressed up and flirting with the drone boys. No training, no kung fu, no arguing - done through and through.

He's not sure how to cope with that. He doesn't even know how long she's been this way. So he's simply sitting there, drowning his sorrows in the music and trying to cope with everything.]

[Ruri stops and sits down on the bench peering at Yosuke]

"...Yosuke?"

[He can't hear her, but it's easy enough to notice someone sitting next to him. He glances over and forces a smile, slipping his headphones off]

Hey Ruri, sorry I didn't hear you there. What's up?

"Nothing. You just looked miserable."

Miserable? No, I-I'm fine! Just a long day at work, you know?

"Don't lie. Its not dignified."

[... it was worth a shot. But jeez, talking about this to you is going to be awkward as hell, Ruri]

... so, I saw Chie today.

"Oh? How is she doing?"

Oh, she seemed fine. You know, wearing her girly outfits, flirting with the drone boys, ignoring all the things she loves to do.

Never seen a happier drone in my life.

"Are her things still here? If her things are still here, the town may be punishing her for something, if they are gone, its possible that she was sent home for good."

How - how would I know? I didn't exactly break into her house or anything, come on. I'm not a creepy stalker.

"Then I say think of the best, of her at home with her whatever not remembering this place till she shows up again. I don't really know what to say."

Yeah, and I don't really know what to think.

It's... and I thought having drone kids was weird. At least I didn't know them.

It's hard! Seeing her... like that...

Yeah? Well, it's working.

[It was getting late, so Minato had decided to head back to the house. However, he happens to spot someone wearing headphones. Pinged at the chance of listening to new music, he shuts off his pocket radio and walks toward the park bench and finds it's--Yosuke?

And it doesn't look like a happy Yosuke either.]

"Anything I can do to help?"

[It's the exact opposite of a happy Yosuke - it's a Yosuke so absorbed in his own misery that he doesn't even notice Minato approaching until he's standing right there. Sheepishly, he slips off the headphones and forces a smile]

Hey Minato. How's it going?

[princeofjunes]

[He sighs, looking down at the ground]

I... don't know.

How did you deal with this?

"Its why I keep a certain distance from people. The first time I lost a close friend was droned I took it very hard. She was only a lab mate too, not a girlfriend."

It's cool. I see you got back something.

[Even if now Minato is more interested in Yosuke's mood than the music.]

... suddenly it's hard to blame you for being distant.

[He doesn't know what else to say. Or to feel or even to think. This is all too much for him and he just holds his heads in his hands]

This sucks.

[She pats his shoulder]

"Yes, it does suck."

Yeah. [Have some forced laughter, Minato]

I got back everything I need to fight except my persona.

[He's trying so very hard not to cry - he really is. But a few tears still manage to slip through his defenses]

This is the first time I think I really get it. Why this place is so terrible.

Ah. Even the headphones?

[Seems someone else finds that headphones are required for battle. :V]
