Track 04: Nobody Told Me

ACTION: The Record Store - Morning/Afternoon - Open

[All things considered, Yosuke is enjoying his new job at the record store, familiarizing himself with the music and keeping the records spinning. If you're in the market for some music, come on in and shop!]

ACTION: John Doe Park - Evening - Open

[Yosuke is sitting on a park bench, headphones on as he looks at the ground, despondant. He'd been wondering why he hadn't heard from Chie lately and wanted to make sure she was going to his (late) Birthday Party, so he'd gone after work in search of her.

He hadn't been prepared to see his friend all dressed up and flirting with the drone boys. No training, no kung fu, no arguing - done through and through.

He's not sure how to cope with that. He doesn't even know how long she's been this way. So he's simply sitting there, drowning his sorrows in the music and trying to cope with everything.]

"Maybe I'll have to ask your friend Rise. I've been meaning to meet her face to face and she seems the type to tell a good story."

[Dammit... Rise and her big (albiet cute) mouth. He shudders thinking about the whole thing]

It was terrible and I still have nightmares. And if you want the rest then go ahead and ask Rise, because I'm done.

More like I played a joke and it backfired. Big time.

"Entered your girlfriend in a swimsuit competition and she was stronger than you?"

One, she's still not my girlfriend. Two, I had no idea they'd have to wear swimsuits. Three, I didn't think she'd sign me up for a cross-dressing pageant in revenge.

[She blinks, tilts her head, blinks again, then breaks out in a giggle fit that rivals one of Yukiko's]

[He sighs and just waits it out patiently, used to this sort of thing by now. It's not that funny.]

[After a minute or two it subsides and she snickers a little]

"Omoikane was just giving me suggestions to improve your costume. You can do a lot with nanomachines."

Omoikane is a pervert. Tell that computer to stop picturing me in a miniskirt.

"Actually it was in an evening gown."

I don't think I've got the figure for that.

"You'd be surprised. All I'll say is you don't have the figure for a bikini."

Trust me when I say that at least isn't surprising.

"Even I have to work hard to wear one. They're difficult to not look silly in."

Well, you're a girl at least. You've got a head start over me.

"Well, at least you admit you're at a disadvantage for being a boy."

[She smirks very slightly]

Admit? I didn't think that was ever a question.

[She just pats his shoulder and shakes her head]

[And for his part, he just laughs and leans back]

"Well, now that you're smiling. I think my work here is done."

[She nods]
