ACTION: The Park - Open

[It's a nice day in the park - the sun shining down, a breeze blowing through - it's the perfect day for Yosuke to work the stress out with a good friend. The entire park is his training area - trees to climb, benches to jump over and off of, and a thousand and one ways to test his speed and agility. Though there's no enemy to fight and no goal to reach, it feels good just doing something.

Sometimes they're working together, sometimes apart, but the two best certainly seem in synch as they get their exercise on all over the park. Aww yeah.]

[ Have one (1) bored little girl actually... bothering to leave her house for once.

Yosuke might remember her. She's missing an arm, though: that's new.

Still, she might just be stopping to watch one or both of them training. If that's what they call it.

[He's just finished doing a jumping spin off of a park bench when he looks over and catches sight of her.

He definitely remembers her with two arms, and it stops him in his tracks before he hurries over]

[ Calls out a fierce little voice, and Shana is there, standing on a tree, pointing down at them. They can also get a pretty good... ah, angle up her rather foofy 50's style skirt, but it would probably be unhealthy for anyone to mention that. ]

[Hey, no one calls him a loser, despite it's varying degrees of truth! He stops in his tracks and looks up and - oh my. Oh my.

Well. That was unexpected.

Focus, Yosuke!]

That sounds like a challenge! You sure you can take the both of us?

[ Souji is just... yeah partner, you blatantly look up that dress. Souji is going to cough politely, bend down and relace his shoe. ]

[After a set of cardio exercises he decides to take a breather - and what do you know, there's some familiar blue hair over yonder. So, he takes a walk over, grinning]

I doubt it's as good a show as the one I got.

[ Souji is drinking from a bottle of water and he looks up into the branches. ]

Ah. Lancer.

[ Action ] Just the two of us, we can make it if we try

[ This kind of feels like Parkour, that thing that all the cool teens in Europe are doing. Except Souji is terrible at that. Souji can run fast, sure, but don't ask him to maintain balance. And jumping over benches or tumbling safely off of low rooftops or higher places of elevation? That's partner's thing.

But no guts, no glory. Souji is attempting to vault over a park bench. Yosuke did it was nothing, not even touching the bench with his hand or with an errant foot, so Souji takes a running start. He plants his hand on the top and vaults over, except he hits his foot and comes crashing down right on the park bench. ]

Ow.

Building them castles in the sky

[Oh, that didn't sound good at all. He hates to break his stride but he does so to turn around and check on his Partner, wincing at the sight. And Yosuke thought he was getting out of shape. How far had Souji let himself fall? He walks over, offering a hand]

Maybe we should do some strength training for a bit? I don't think your footwork is agreeing with you right now, Partner.

[ Ever seen Souji skate? That's right, there's a reason for that. Souji has terrible balance. ]

I... was never good with footwork.

[ He takes the hand and sits up. ]

[The park was a pleasant break from the monotony of the hospital, which is why she always chose to walk through it on her way home from work. She was slowly getting used to children running around and playing, but she wasn't expecting teens to do be doing the same--and sparring, no less. They reminded her of the Elric brothers, and she almost wished she had someone she could train with. Walking was all right, but it wasn't quite enough. As she passed, she nodded at them.]

[Hey, a new face. Well, new to him at least. It'd be rude to ignore her and they've gotten in some good sparring so he drops his stance, smiling over to her.]

Best time I've had here in a while! Feel free to watch if you want, we don't mind.

[She eyes the park, wondering how a bunch of children running around and sparring didn't catch the attention of the drones.]

[Working nearby is this odd woman in full plate ignoring the summer heat with a sword, she seems fairly proficient and is going through some sort of complicated drill. She'll peer over and salute the two after a bit then go back to her swinging.]

[ Come back here, you ballerina-fairy. They are sparring now, and Souji tried for another kick but the two are much more defensively-minded than before. Yosuke especially. Souji stops though, when he catches sight of the person in full plate armor swinging a sword. ]

[ He just stares. It's sweltering heat. ]

[Hugo, for his part, was planning on doing just the same--- despite also training with Damian part of the time, he just likes spending as much time outdoors and training than inside doing well... nothing.

So the fact that there were two others here was kind of surprising for him. He's used to training here alone. So, for now, he'll just watch.]

[Then enjoy the show Hugo, because Yosuke is putting on a decent show despite his skills having deteriorated slightly over the last month. He's still getting back into the swing of things - there's a fall here, an awkward landing there - but his abundance of energy and enthusiasm seem to cover for his deficiencies.

Jumping over benches, off of benches, off of trees, onto trees, swinging, leaping, rolling, spinning, twirling - it's almost enough to make a guy dizzy]

[ Just having lunch on a park bench before going home, something catches Ilsa's eye. ]

[ Actually, two energetic guys bouncing around the park are an interesting show. Much more interesting than lunch. ]

Sure! Ilsa > Yosuke > Souji?

[Eventually even a guy as energetic as Yosuke needs to take a break, breathing hard as he catches his breath. It's then that he notices he's being watched.

He's in a good mood, though! Rather than be creeped out, he simply offers a smile and a wave to the woman on the park bench]

[Marisa was sitting on a bench off to the side, occasionally glancing up at the two teenagers working out, as she folds a crane out of a random piece of paper. Once finished, she drops it into her purse and starts on another...]

Marisa > Yosuke > Souji or an eventual threadjack if he wants?

[It's been a long day of various exercises and jumping around like a drugged up bunny for Yosuke. He's determined to stick with it and push his body, but fatigue is catching up with him rapidly. An awkward jump and a botched landing later, and Yosuke is tumbling on the ground, rolling to a stop at Marisa's feet]

[By contrast, the park is Minato's sleep and relaxation area. He's settled on a park bench and taking a snooze. You wouldn't disturb a man's sleep, would you Yosuke?]

[Not intentionally! But when jumping off a nearby tree he botches the landing, rolling head over heels and stopping when he crashed into Minato's bench. That seems painful]
