Track 05: Small Town

ACTION: EVERYWHERE - ALL DAY - EVERYONE

[As Yosuke's settled himself into Mayfield, he finds one question gnawing at the back of his head.

Is this place really that bad?

Sure, there's the dronings and the weird things that happen, but day to day everybody's able to go about their lives - maybe even find things to do that make them happy. They bring bits and pieces from home and make connections with other people. They can even meet people they never would have at home. Does the good the people make in this town outweigh the bad the town tries to bring them down with?

He's curious. Also, it's a great excuse to take a day off and wander around the town, so that's exactly what he does - he sets out and walks, with no destination in mind]

"Well, everything here is on physical records, so I can't do that at school, otherwise I'd have better grades myself."

Doesn't seem like grades really matter here. I went to school as often as you and I still made it to adulthood.

"Well, if they were teaching things that weren't insane I may have cared more. But I had my Masters in Physics by the time I was 4 so... It all seems kind of strange to me."

That's the best part though! Here we have a real excuse to not care about a thing the teachers say.

"I don't know. I kind of wanted to finish getting my doctorate from MIT. Something about having it before I was 17 sounded nice."

I can't blame you. The 17 year old girls with doctorates get all the dates.

"And here it was more about proving what I can do to myself."

Oh yeah! Back home all the teenage doctor girls had five guys. On each arm.
