Track 05: Small Town

ACTION: EVERYWHERE - ALL DAY - EVERYONE

[As Yosuke's settled himself into Mayfield, he finds one question gnawing at the back of his head.

Is this place really that bad?

Sure, there's the dronings and the weird things that happen, but day to day everybody's able to go about their lives - maybe even find things to do that make them happy. They bring bits and pieces from home and make connections with other people. They can even meet people they never would have at home. Does the good the people make in this town outweigh the bad the town tries to bring them down with?

He's curious. Also, it's a great excuse to take a day off and wander around the town, so that's exactly what he does - he sets out and walks, with no destination in mind]

A little over a month I think - I'm still adjusting.

Especially since they moved me around after a few weeks.

Not very long. On my birthday I woke up in a new house with a brand new zombie wife.

I guess? It's weird though. I know other guys who should be eighteen too, but the town still treats them like kids.

Yeah, it's inconsistent but it looks like that's what causes the move sometimes. I know another guy that suddenly moved and became a father too.

At least I know my 'daughter', but it's too weird to treat her like that. She's more like a little sister.

Why bother? There's no punishment for not treating anyone as if they were family.

Yeah, I know. But she's cool - she really is like a little sister.

Annoying sometimes, and then sometimes kinda cute.

Yeah. At least, I think that's what having a little sister is like. I'm an only child, so I wouldn't really know.

It's kind of like that. What I liked about my little sister was how cute she was trying to catch up to Shikime. The way she struggles, complains, and smiles when she's satisfied with herself just warms the heart.

Sounds like you and your sister had a pretty good relationship. I hope I can stay on good terms with her like that.
