ACTION: The Record Store - Morning/Afternoon - Open

[All things considered, Yosuke is enjoying his new job at the record store, familiarizing himself with the music and keeping the records spinning. If you're in the market for some music, come on in and shop!]

ACTION: John Doe Park - Evening - Open

[Yosuke is sitting on a park bench, headphones on as he looks at the ground, despondant. He'd been wondering why he hadn't heard from Chie lately and wanted to make sure she was going to his (late) Birthday Party, so he'd gone after work in search of her.

He hadn't been prepared to see his friend all dressed up and flirting with the drone boys. No training, no kung fu, no arguing - done through and through.

He's not sure how to cope with that. He doesn't even know how long she's been this way. So he's simply sitting there, drowning his sorrows in the music and trying to cope with everything.]

[After a few minutes he's cried himself out. His sobs turn into deep breaths, and he un-buries his head from her shoulder]

... you're already helping so much. How much more could I ask for?

"We're friends right. Friends help each other out."

[She nods a little, still patting his back]

[Despite everything, he manages a weak laugh]

Of course we're friends. I don't spend the night with girls I don't like, you know.

"There you go then. I'm sure your other friends will help too, and will need help for this."

[He finally manages a genuine smile and gently kisses her forehead]

Yeah, you're right. We'll get over this, it'll be alright sooner or later.

[He shakes his head no.]

She's developed an interest in girly clothes. And drone boys.

And stopped caring about training and kung fu.

[Om nom nom candy. This is turning into a good day!]

Anything you want me to bring home when I leave today?

[Oh...in other words...]

She'll come back.

How can you be sure?!

[He takes a second to get his temper back under control]

[Rise wasn't expecting to see Yosuke here, and she definitely wasn't expecting to see him so upset. Concerned, she makes her way over to him. She leans down a little, trying to get a look at his face before tapping him lightly on the shoulder.]

Yosuke-senpai...?

[princeofjunes]

[He snaps from his melancholy for a moment, looking up at Rise with an odd expression on his face. He wants to be happy to see her but damn if she hasn't caught him at an odd time. After a second, he wonders if she even knows what's happened]

Rise-chan... hey, sorry I didn't see you there.

[doudemoe]

[He's not really surprised by Yosuke's reaction. But it's what he believes.]

Do you have faith in her?

[She frowns slightly at his condition. Yep, definitely worried now.]

What's wrong? You seem really down.

[He's quiet for a few moments as he struggles with his answer. In the end, there's only one right answer]

... of course I have faith in her. She's one of the strongest girls I know.

[There's no point in hiding it from Rise - if she doesn't know, she deserves to know]

When was the last time you saw Chie?

Dunno... let me look around first, I guess. ♪

[she's not going to do that yet though, cause she has her own candy that she's unwrapping]

Oh, um, I only talked to her on the phone when I first got here. I haven't seen her or talked to her since then. ...Why?

[Wait, crap, he should probably clarify that]

Nothing too crazy though! We still need to save money for a stage, don't forget.

Besides, don't you only sell records? ♪

[He has no idea how to say this tactfully, sorry. And even if he did, it's still hard for him to say.]

[She kind of stares at him for a few seconds. The shock of it makes Rise's emotions get the best of her and she finally sits next to him, wiping tears from her eyes.]

...W-What? Is it permanent?
