Track 03: Happy Birthday, Yosuke

ACTION: 947 Beulah St - Morning (Housemate, anyone passing by who wants to check out the commotion)

[It hadn't exactly been a year since his last birthday, but today was June 22nd. He wasn't planning on making his birthday a big deal, but apparently the town had other plans - like having him wake up in yet another strange house. This time, though, there was a woman in his bed. Next to him. One that he had children with, if the photos in the room were to be believed. Some might call having a completely subservient woman in your bed a godsend - Yosuke was nearly as freaked out as his first day in the town. Not even bothering to change out of his pajamas, he scrambled from the bed and out of the room.

Which brings us to the current time - a confused Yosuke, sitting on the curb in front of his brand new house, trying to get a hold on his brand new adult life.

Happy 18th Birthday, Yosuke. Welcome to adulthood.]

Okay, calm down. That zombie... 'wife' probably didn't do anything to me. Probably.

[He groans]

What a way to start a birthday.

So... this hasn't exactly been a normal day, but I guess there's not much I can do about it.

Anyone know a good place for a party? Might as well try and make today not suck somehow.

"I really don't know. They tend to watch anime in mine, I kind of assumed that was universal."

... you know, I don't actually know if any of my friends are into that stuff.

I know Chie's a kung fu freak - I could see her watching something all martial art-y - but that's it.

"I thought Rise said she was an idol singer. I had to do several voices in a few as part of my contract with Nergal."

I know she does commercials, but she hasn't been on the idol scene too long. I don't think she ever had the chance to be approached for something like that.

"Ah, that makes sense. She's also probably considerably prettier."

Wait, what does how pretty someone is have to do with voice work?

"Because at a point, its more economical to have live work done as opposed to voice. Live takes more training and discipline as you have every aspect of your person on display. It also frequently leads to having to craft a stage persona and a real one which may lead to psychological issues. That's one of the reasons I just chose to do voice work."

"That was the general consensus. That and it left me with more time to pursue other things."

"Not really. I miss the working with MIT more. That was actually kind of important as opposed to being the 1st lieutenant for the dark princess in a show aimed at 6 year old girls."

You sure? I mean, without her lieutenant, how would the dark princess get anything done? We wouldn't want that.

"Trust me, there are 3 other lieutenants and a whole line of monsters to make toys out of."

But you were the first lieutenant! The most important one, the trusted advisor! Don't sell yourself short.

"That's usually the emotionless one's job. Trust me, the work with MIT was much more interesting than going on about the cutie bomberang."

I guess, but between the two, I think I'm more likely to understand the cutie bomberang.

Thirty years? Do you know how many successful rock bands I could form and break up with in thirty years?
