Hey guys, it's Yosuke. I just thought I'd check in, see how everyone's doing. I know it's been sort of rough lately, so...

[PARK - EVENING - OPEN]

[He's been coming here a lot lately. It really isn't a bad place to spend time. The park is usually nice and peaceful, and it gives him plenty of time to think. To reflect on his time there, to figure out what he wants, to try and piece together what bits he's learned about the town. Really, he can think about whatever strikes him that particular day.

Today it seems the focus is on himself - him, and the choices he's made recently and not so recently. Decisions he's made, decisions he hasn't made. Time he's spent waiting. Other people he's heard about. Is he really doing what's best? If he has to be stuck in this town, doesn't he deserve to be as happy as he can be? Is he doing what he can to that end? Is the road he's on the right one - hell, is it even going anywhere?

Too bad there are no easy answers.]

Oh, I'm just going to see Ruri after she gets out of work.

What are you two going to do? Me and Ruri are friends, too. Best friends. She talked to me when I came to Mayfield on the phone.

[ Millie nods twice. ] Ruri says a lot of stuff I don't really understand either.

Oh, I usually understand what she says. Most of the time.

I'm... just not really sure what we'll talk about tonight.

[He probably should have seen that coming. Oh well. He smiles and hugs her back lightly, not that he has a choice in the matter]

Hey, not yet! She could still shoot me down, you know.

[ She backs away a little -- well, jsut her head. She's still hugging him. ]

I don't think so! You're a nice guy - and you're cute, too! Ruri will definitely say yes if you're really really good friends.

[He might be embarrassed, but he can still tease!]

You really think so? With a review like that, I might have a shot.

And if she shoots me down, it sounds like you might be interested.

Interested?? Me?? --- aahh, you mean, Millie and Ruri??? Heeheehee, no no no! Not without Bonaparte with me!

[That... wasn't what he meant at all, but it's not like it matters. He just laughs and rolls with it]

Right, Bonaparte! I almost forgot. I'm sure he'll turn up before long, Millie.

Millie's daddy said stuff will be coming back! I'll never give up waiting. Did you know? I'm going to put up posters, too! Loads and loads.

Your dad was right. Keep up what you're doing, don't give up hope, and he'll be here before you know it.

[ She'll be moving out of the hug entirely now. ] Millie's got a plan, so don't worry. Yosuke has a date now, riiiight?

[On the one hand, personal space! On the other, there are worse things than being hugged by a cute girl.]

Hey, it's not a date unless she doesn't shoot me down. Don't jump the gun!

Buut, Millie really thinks guns will be jumped! Are you nervous? Do you want Millie to come with you?

[He can't help but laugh at that]

I'm nervous as hell, but I'll be alright. This is the sort of thing I have to do on my own.

Have you got everything ready? It has to be really romantic!

Hey, I just decided to do this five minutes ago! The only thing I've worried about getting ready is me, and I'm not sure I'll ever be ready.

Buut, but-- you need to be romantic! Candles and sweets and ice cream! You need to make it special! Special for Ruri!

I promise, I'll make it special somehow!
